Topic

Expert Evidence Presentation - Lessons From McGinty v. Hennen

Experts and attorneys will learn how to improve the potential outcome at trial from a study of ill-fated presentation of expert testimony in a Texas trial that influenced a supreme court rejection of claimed damages.

The one hour presentation will review case details and ruling points (there is actually quite a list of errors); discuss how the expert and/or hiring attorney could have better bolstered their opinion for each plaintiff weakness; and address an expert’s duty for proving up each point of evidence to tie in the actual claim and cause of loss with damages claimed.

Designation requirements, methodology tips and checklist items for experts in general will also be discussed.
