The high profile District Attorney Jackie Lacey and LASC Assistant Presiding Judge Kevin Brazile will head up the panel for this exciting dinner meeting that will take place on March 28th!

Jackie Lacey

District Attorney Jackie Lacey has spent most of her professional life as a prosecutor, manager and executive in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. On Dec. 3, 2012, she was sworn in as the 42nd District Attorney. She was re-elected in 2016, running unopposed.

Her top priority is keeping the streets of Los Angeles County safe from violent and dangerous criminals. She is committed to safeguarding our children from human sex traffickers, our seniors from financial elder abuse and our communities from environmental crimes that threaten our health and our livelihood.

District Attorney Lacey has worked with business leaders on how best to protect consumers from computer network intrusions that jeopardize our bank accounts and credit ratings. She also remains committed to prosecuting government officials who violate the public’s trust.

 

A Los Angeles native and graduate of the University of Southern California Law School, District Attorney Lacey leads a staff of roughly 1,000 lawyers, nearly 300 investigators and about 800 support staff employees.

 

She is the first woman and first African-American to serve as Los Angeles County District Attorney since the office was established in 1850.

 

 

Judge Kevin C. Brazile 

Judge Kevin C. Brazile is a judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court, and he was appointed to the court by Governor Gray Davis in December 2002. Since October 1, 2007, he has been assigned to the Los Angeles Superior Court (Mosk Courthouse). Since January 1, 2008, he has been assigned to a general civil (unlimited) calendar at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse where he conducted jury and non-jury trials and heard law and motion matters. He was one of two of the assistant supervising judges of civil for the Los Angeles County Superior Court from January 2013 to December 31, 2014. Effective January 2, 2015, he became the supervising judge of civil for the Los Angeles County Superior Court, where he was assigned to the master calendar courtroom (Department 1) of the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. Effective January 1, 2017 he became the Assistant Presiding Judge (APJ) for the Los Angeles County Superior Court, a position he will hold for the next 2 years.

 

Judge Brazile graduated from UCLA with honors (Cum Laude) with a degree in political science in 1980 and he graduated from UCLA School of Law in 1983. From 1984 to 2002 he was a Trial Attorney and later a division chief with the Los Angeles County Counsels Office. He has successfully argued a case before the United States Supreme Court, Conn v. Gabbert, in 1999 and tried cases in the Los Angeles Superior Court and the Federal District Court for the Central District. He has also argued appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. 

 

 

Kenneth C. Feldman, Esq. 

Kenneth C. Feldman, Esq. is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois and is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He has been recognized as a 'Super Lawyer' every year since 2005.  Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP is a national full-service law firm with more than 1100 attorneys and 42 offices in 26 states.  Lewis Brisbois is ranked as the second largest firm in the state by California Lawyer and the largest firm in Southern California by the Los Angeles Daily Journal.

 

 

Mr. Feldman is the national chair of the Lewis Brisbois Legal Malpractice Defense Department. Representing attorneys has been the primary area of his practice for three decades.  Mr. Feldman was one of the first attorneys to attain the designation  "California Certified Legal Specialist in Legal Malpractice Law" by the California Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California.

 

 

He specializes in the following types of actions: defense of professional liability actions in the areas of attorney malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, malicious prosecution, real estate brokers, escrow agents, insurance brokers errors and omissions, and other various types of professional malpractice. 

 

 Mr. Feldman graduated from Loyola Law School in 1987 and was admitted to the California bar that same year.

 

Mr. Feldman is the author of "California Legal Malpractice & Malicious Prosecution Liability Handbook."

 

 

Tony Feuerman M.D.

Dr. Tony Feuerman is a Neurosurgeion and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Providence Tarzana Medical Center and West Hills Hospital and Medical Center. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Feuerman has extensive experience as an expert witness in brain and spine injury cases. He estimates that he has been deposed about 100 times, and testified in trial or arbitration about 50 times.

 

He received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed his residency in neurosurgery at UCLA. He has been in practice for more than 20 years. He is one of seven doctors at Providence Tarzana Medical Center and one of six at West Hills Hospital and Medical Center who specialize in Neurological Surgery.

Timothy T. Williams, Jr. 

Timothy T. Williams, Jr. is a twenty-nine year retired Senior Detective Supervisor from the Los Angeles Police Department retiring form the elite Robbery-Homicide Division. During his tenure with the Los Angeles Police Department, Mr. Williams completed over twenty-six years of various detective assignments including but not limited to robbery, homicide, domestic violence, child abuse, rape, sexual assault, juvenile and narcotic investigations.

 

Mr. Williams is a requested speaker on Criminal Justice and Police Procedure issues. He was also an instructor at Los Angeles City College in the Administration of Justice Department, where he taught for over fifteen years. Mr. Williams completed his undergraduate studies at California State University at Los Angeles, Majoring in Criminal Justice. He is a graduate of Police Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.), Supervisory Leadership Institute and a graduate of the West Point Leadership Program.

 

As a Police Procedure Expert and Use of Force Expert, Mr. Williams has worked with such prominent attorneys as Thomas A. Mesereau, Jr., Mark Geragos, Debra A. Opri, Edi M. O. Faal, Christopher A. Darden, Dale K. Galipo, Luis A. Carrillo, Roland L. Coleman, Jr., Winston Kevin McKesson, Carl E. Douglas, Brian T. Dunn, Milton C. Grimes and Neufeld Scheck & Brustin, LLP. Mr. Williams is a Police Procedure Expert, Use of Force Expert and Domestic Violence Expert in both State and Federal courts. He has also appeared as a Police Procedure and Use of Force commentator on radio, cable television and network TV.
