Jonathan Flaum uses his experience as a litigator to advise clients in identifying and selecting the right experts relevant to a particular matter. Before joining BRG, Mr. Flaum worked as a director of Business Development at both LECG and Navigant Consulting. Before that, he practiced law for over 10 years at major law firms in Chicago, as well as for the City of Chicago.  In his law practice, Mr. Flaum represented both corporate and individual clients in litigation matters related to patent infringement, antitrust, breach of contract, and criminal investigations. He has both federal and state court trial experience with several jury cases tried to verdict, most as first chair. 

 

 

Reid Schar is a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers.  He is a former assistant US attorney who has tried more than 20 criminal cases, many involving complex fraud and financing issues. Clients turn to him with their most significant complex commercial litigation and white collar matters and investigations.  Mr. Schar regularly advises boards of directors and board committees and appears on their behalf before regulatory bodies.

 

 

 

 

 

Kevin Murphy received his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2014, graduating summa cum laude.  In law school, he served as the Executive Editor of the Notre Dame Law Review and represented indigent felony defendants in Indiana court as part of the Advanced Criminal Justice Externship. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Murphy served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Paul J. Kelly, Jr. on the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

 

 

 

 

Neil Posner successfully counsels his clients on the complexities of buying and maintaining insurance, and using insurance as part of an overall risk-management program.  Neil focuses on insurance recovery and dispute resolution, risk management, loss prevention and cost containment.  Neil helps policyholders resolve all types of insurance coverage disputes, through negotiation, litigation and other forms of dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration and settlement.  His clients include public and private companies, organizations, boards of directors, individual officers and other policyholders.  Neil practices extensively in the area of lawyer’s professional liability, which includes counseling lawyers and law firms on professional responsibility and ethics matters. He has served as an expert witness in this area, and speaks and writes extensively on the subject.

 

 

Jim Duffy has an extensive background calling on law firm partners over his thirty-year sales career. Professor Richard Thomas is an Instructor of Professional Presence, Business Ethics, Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability, and Managerial Communications.  He is a licensed Illinois Attorney who worked primarily as a litigator in the area of Ethics and Professional Responsibility Law, as well as an alumnus of the resident company of Chicago's Second City Theater Company. Professor Thomas was honored to be named to the outstanding alumni cast of Second City's 50th Anniversary Celebration Show. He studied the art of improvisation for several years with most of the theater's founding members including the great Paul Sills. He has acted with Meryl Streep, Kevin Spacey, Woody Allen and Bill Murray among others.

 

 

Clint Krislov is a graduate of Northwestern University (B.A. 1971), Phi Beta Kappa, and Cornell Law School (1974).  Mr. Krislov is admitted to practice in both Illinois and Michigan state courts, the United States Supreme Court, most federal Circuit Courts of Appeals, the United States Claims Court, the United States Tax Court, all federal districts in Illinois, and the trial bar of the federal district court for the Northern District of Illinois.  Mr. Krislov served at least six terms as Chair or co-Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Class Litigation Committee, where he initiated programs of bench-bar communications, which continue.  Mr. Krislov has been involved in over 300 reported decisions, many of which are the governing case law in the areas of class actions and public interest cases, investor rights, consumer protection, fiduciary duties, ERISA and public pension or benefit matters, and constitutional rights.
