About FEWA

"An Association of Consultants Providing Forensic Services"

Based in San Francisco, the Forensic Expert Witness Association (FEWA) is the only non-profit professional membership organization that verifies that each of its professional members has testified at least three times as an expert witness. FEWA is dedicated to the professional development, ethics and promotion of forensic consultants in all fields of discipline. FEWA provides professional education for experts of all levels of experience and also for those aspiring to be experts who have not yet testified, which spans all technical specialties.

FEWA has chapters across the U.S., publishes a searchable print and on-line directory for attorneys to locate its members and for peer referral, there is no charge to search our extensive database and contact leading experts directly. Additionally, FEWA holds local meetings for education and networking, and provides training and support for forensic consultants.

Over the last twenty years, FEWA membership has grown and expanded to nine geographically based chapters. FEWA Chapters provide great value to members as they provide continuing education offerings and networking opportunities with fellow forensic consultants and attorneys at local meetings. The chapters of FEWA are as follows:

Arizona Chapter

Chicago (Midwest) Chapter

Dallas Chapter

Florida Chapter – currently in formation

Houston Chapter

Los Angeles Chapter

Northern California Chapter

Orange County Chapter

San Diego Chapter

FEWA chapters are governed by a local chapter Board of Directors as subsidiaries of the FEWA National Office and National Board of Directors. To find a local event close to you, visit our Chapter Events Calendar.

Why do attorneys trust FEWA?

FEWA is considered the gold-standard among attorneys and legal professionals when searching for an expert witness for a few reasons. FEWA has the distinction of being the only expert witness organization that requries verifiable references and testimonies to be designated as a member. In addition, each FEWA member is required to practice the FEWA Code of Professional Ethics to retain membership. The FEWA National Office is frequently contacted by law offices who are looking for experts. We are able to provide them the experts they need at no-cost as a member benefit to our members.
